Due to the current situation caused by the spread of the new Corona virus in Germany, Tandem.MINT cannot be offered in its usual form in the summer semester 2020. Instead, in order to keep all participants safe, the Tandem.MINT-Team plans on transforming Tandem.MINT into an online-only offer using tools such as Skype, Zoom or FaceTime. As they are currently working on a suitable solution, further information will follow soon. Due to the start of the summer term being shifted to April 20, they have decided to postpone the registration deadline to April 19 accordingly. This way, more students can be made aware of this unique opportunity to take part in an online tandem program. After April 19, they will match the tandem partners and inform all applicants about the results. In any case students will receive a notification, most likely by the end of April. During these challenging times the Tandem.MINT-Team aims to faciliate getting in touch with fellow students and thereby enhancing language but also intercultural skills from a safe distance.
