Decentralized equal opportunity officer
Representative (Professors)
Representative (employee from technology and administration)
Representative (students)
According to the Ruhr University's university development plan, "equality" is about "equal opportunities between women and men". And for RUB this is a central criterion of university development and is designed as a cross-sectional task. The work of the RUB's central Equal Opportunities Officer is supported by decentralized Equal Opportunities Officers in each of the faculties. Elected by the Faculty Council, they are the official representatives of female professors, academic staff, technical and administrative staff, and all female students.
An overview of the decentralized equal opportunity officers of all RUB faculties can be found at https://www.chancengleich.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/cg/chancen/dezentral.html.de
As decentralized equal opportunity officers of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at RUB, we see ourselves primarily as networkers who bring women in ID together and consciously support them. In doing so, we are concerned with the compatibility of family and career, the targeted professional promotion of each individual and the intensive exchange among each other.
You can also participate personally in our equal opportunities work: Just come to the next meeting of the "Council of 12". Initiated by all women in ID, this - unofficial - institution is our common meeting place. Discuss with us and bring in your opinion: You are cordially invited!
