On Wednesday, February 07, 2018, the NRW Minister for Culture and Science, Ms. Pfeiffer-Poensgen, visited Ruhr-Universität Bochum and hereunder also the Faculty for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. Among others, Prof. Pohl had the opportunity to present first research results from the LifeSciences.NRW project RaVis-3D and from the DFG Collaborative Research Field MARIE (SFB/TRR 196). Ms. Pfeiffer-Poensgen was able to try out for herself how the audification of distances is measured by radar and to see how a sphere is held in suspension by means of high-precision radar measurement.
