Around 100 participants at the "BMT@RUB" event.

On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, around 100 interested people from RUB and local economy met for the event "BMT@RUB - BioMedicineTechnology at Ruhr-Universität Bochum". The Chair for Integrated Systems was represented at BMT@RUB with a total of four contributions from various research projects.

In 39 short presentations from eight faculties of RUB and three clinics of UK RUB, it was made clear how diverse research in the field of biomedical engineering is and that this is of great importance in Bochum. In the poster exhibition that followed the lectures, there were intensive discussions about the topics of medical technology systems and simulations, diagnosis and therapy at the cellular and molecular level, as well as imaging and signal processing, and the opportunity for further networking was used. The event was organized by Prof. Andreas Ostendorf (Prorector for Research, Transfer and Young Scientists / Chair of Laser Application Technology), Prof. Georg Schmitz (Chair of Medical Technology), Johannes Peuling (Agentur GesundheitsCampus Bochum / Bochumer Institut für Technologie), Dr. Antje Pohl (Chair of Integrated Systems / Bochumer Institut für Technologie) and Christof Weiser (Agentur GesundheitsCampus Bochum / BioMedizinZentrum Bochum).
