Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Hoffmann

Martin Hoffmann's scientific career started at the University of Dortmund. There he completed his studies and doctorate in the field of high-frequency engineering and habilitated in 2003 in the field of microsystems engineering. He continued as a private lecturer while working as a group leader for innovative projects at HL Planartechnik GmbH in Dortmund and as a project and process manager at Silicon Manufacturing Itzehoe GmbH in the following years. In 2006, he was then appointed university professor at the Technical University of Ilmenau, where he headed the Department of Micromechanical Systems at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. As of 01.09.2017, he has now been appointed to the RUB and represents this highly topical field of research, which is characterized by its rapid development, especially in recent years, at our faculty.
