Studying at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology

In all of our economy's booming sectors like information technology, telecommunication or innovative transport technology, electrical engineers and information technology engineers significantly contribute to the technological progress. They are responsible for the automatisation of motor vehicles or large power stations, they conceptualise and realise new smart home technologies or work on the technical implementation of the energy turnaround.

Over the last years, the upswing led to an increasing demand for qualified junior employees that exceeds the number of graduates in the mentioned sectors by far. Due to the low numbers of new students, this tendency will continue in the next years. Thus, the current career prospects for new students are excellent!

Our bachelor's programme has a standard period of study of six semesters, thus, it usually takes three years until graduation. As a graduate of our bachelor's programme, you will receive the degree Bachelor of Science, which is a degree that qualifies towards working as an engineer. Therefore, it forms a sound basis for a good start into working-life. For those who want to deepen their knowledge after finishing their bachelor's degree, we offer the possibility to do a master's degree or even a PhD.

Please note that the sub-sites of this website won't be translated as the language of instruction of this degree programme is German.
