The focus of our research activities is on semiconductor lasers. In addition to material science aspects (e.g. new semiconductor materials, spintronics), the focus is on investigating the dynamics of semiconductor lasers.

We are interested in understanding physically interesting effects and then optimizing them with regard to new metrological application areas. Currently, we are particularly interested in applications in terahertz technology and biomedical imaging.
