Valuable insights into various topics were provided in three 20-minute presentations. Prof Anding Zhu from University College Dublin (Ireland) discussed energy-efficient radio frequency technologies for more environmentally friendly radio systems. Prof Koul from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (India) presented applications in the healthcare sector, while Prof Guha from the University of Calcutta (India) discussed the history of microwave and antenna technology through to future-oriented wireless applications.
Following the presentations, the participants had the opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas over pizza and drinks in the foyer.
The workshop was a joint initiative of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) and the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) and was organised by the team from the Chair of Microwave Systems.
