Integrated Systems at EuMW 2025
European Microwave Week (EuMW) took place in Utrecht from September 21–26, featuring presentations of the latest research findings in high-frequency, radar, and microwave technology. It is one of the most important international conferences in this field and brings together the EuMIC, EuMC, and EuRAD conferences, as well as an accompanying industry exhibition.
As it does every year, the Chair of Integrated Systems presented its latest work. Jan Schöpfel, Tobias T. Braun, Marcel van Delden, Lasse Cordes, Hendrik Richter, Jonathan Bott, Ahmad Zaben, Christian Bredendiek, Stephan Hauptmeier, Ram Kishore Arumugam, Patrick Wallrath, André Froehly, and Olga Krylova, together with partners from Fraunhofer FHR, Infineon Technologies, and Wavesense Dresden GmbH, presented new results in the fields of integrated circuit technology, D-band and 6G communications, radar technology, and THz-based transceiver systems. The presentations covered topics including:
- novel LO generation concepts,
- scalable MMIC transmitters with on-chip antennas for 6G applications,
- D-band VCOs for automotive applications, and
- new metrics for validating radar point clouds.
In addition to the technical presentations, the chair was also represented in an organizational capacity: Prof. Dr. Nils Pohl participated as the German delegate at the General Assembly of the European Microwave Association (EuMA) and contributed to strategic discussions on the future direction of EuMW.
