MilliMess - Concepts for highly integrated silicon millimeter-wave circuits and systems with metrological performance

The goal of this project is to investigate monolithic silicon-germanium (SiGe)-based integrated circuits and systems. New reference systems for fault analysis will support the design and development of these circuits. For this purpose, vector network analysis will be used, which offers the possibility of complete system fault correction with very high dynamic range. The measurement range of vector network analyzers (VNAs) is typically limited to a maximum of 70 GHz by commercial devices. A suitable measurement setup will be developed for the target measurement frequency of one THz.
This project is being carried out in cooperation with the Chair of Integrated Systems.
